VIP Tickets to Benefit Southwest Research and Information Center (SRIC)

XL Recording Indie-folk recording artist Devendra Banhart will be returning to New Mexico, with a special benefit concert for the Southwest Research and Information Center (SRIC). The concert will take place on Tue, Oct 9, 2007 07:00 PM at the Sunshine Theater Downtown Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Native American communities in northwestern New Mexico are fighting to prevent uranium mining because of its legacy of dead and sick people and contaminated water, soil, and air.  Southwest Research and Information Center (SRIC) works with those communities to stop uranium development, to clean up contamination from past uranium mining that continues to cause sickness and death from air and water pollution, and to promote health care and development of safe water supplies.
